Message from the Executive Committee.

Welcome to the 2024 baseball season. We hope you are all ready for an action filled summer on the diamond! Your executive committee has been working hard all winter to ensure a successful season. 

Here are a few reminders as we begin. 

 

Please ensure you are respectful of all of our umpires (both young and seasoned).  The are learning their skill and will make mistakes or make calls that you may not agree with, but they should not be yelled at or berated.  This will not be tolerated. 

 

Rain cancellations on Quinte West diamonds are not determined by QWABA.  The City of Quinte West makes the decision regarding rain outs in order to protect their diamonds. They will make that decision by 4pm and let us know.  We will then make a facebook post and notifiy coaches.  If a game commences and thunder or lightening develops, the umpire should call the game (or at least a delay) in order to keep players and families safe.

 

All umpire issues -scheduling ect should be forwarded to Amber Ross at qwumpires@gmail.com.  She is responsible for scheduling umpires. 

 

Please remember that your executive committee is made up of a small group of 5 volunteers.  We all have full time jobs and families as well so please have patience with us as we get the season up and running.  

 

We are so excited to have over 250 players sign up to play with us this year.  Lets all work together to ensure its a great one!
